If you think that the buzzer on your alarm is a jarring way to wake up and face the day, check this out: A disgruntled gentleman in India has gone to court in an effort to ban what he considers to be a “public nuisance,” a laughter yoga group that meets near his house. According to an article that ran in the New York Daily News, 7:00am is too early to wake up to the sound of clapping, joy and laughter yoga. I’d like to trade with this guy so he can experience the bird that comes to my window at 4:30am. Or better yet, perhaps he could spend a few days waking in the wee morning hours to the clunking of dump trucks on the stets of NYC. Because if anyone needs to soak up the joy of laughter yoga, it’s the person who is complaining about it waking him up at the late hour of 7am.
